Upgrade from karmic-proposed - howto?

I have been waiting for a fixed version of brasero to come along so I can burn CD's from rhythmbox. I was notified that it is now in karmic-proposed. I have enabled it in the "updates" tab of synaptic and reloaded. I don't see the new version. Is there something else I have to do?

Old thread however I would also like to know how to do this as I am experiencing the SMB bug outlined here. (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/462169) Additionally, I am using the CLI, not a GUI.
