View Full Version : [ubuntu] 3D accerleration doesn't work after upgrading to 9.10 (using ATI radeon 9200)

After I upgraded to ubuntu 9.10 the 3D acceleration doesn't work anymore. I have an ATI radeon 9200 card (so, free drivers are available). Before my upgrade everything went fine. Now I'm using the 2.6.31-14 kernel, but also with the old kernel it doesn't work.

I did some research myself, and I found that I should load the radeon module before the agpgart module. (Which isn't the case). So I can solve the problem by unloading and reloading the radeon module and then restarting GDM.

Is there a way to force ubuntu to load the agpgart module before the radeon module?
