Hello!
My dad did also upgrade to 9.10 Karmic Koala today. Everything went well but after a restart, all windows started to lag when they are dragged. It also lags when he scrolls inside a window.

If he boots into KDE it popups that KWin is unstable or something..

Could it be missing drivers or could it be a kernel problem? ..or something else?

Glad for help! ;)

Hi and you may need to reinstall the graphics drivers. It has been awhile since I have used KDE but you may start under system, administration, hardware drivers.

I've found something interesting. When I look in the "Hardware Drivers", there's a driver for his graphic card that is not activated, but it is impossible to activate it. When I click "Activate" button it do some stuff and nothing happends.

Is there other ways to force activate drivers?
