Hi i am downloading the kubuntu 9.10 ISO file now.

before doing the upgrade, i have a few questions:

1. I am using KDE 4.3.2 now, i heard that kubuntu 9.10 is using KDE 4.3.1, will my KDE is downgraded by doing the system upgrade.

2. I'm using kubuntu 9.04 Jaunty now.. first time i used it, i had many troubles with flash and sound. I managed to configure them using Jaunty's HOW TO.. I heard that the new kubuntu is koala karmic, and from my observation the karmic version usually has it's own how to for multimedia.. what do you think? do i need to reconfigure or it will automatically done.

3. I know that my sources.list will be replaced from "jaunty" to "karmic", but i have another repositories in there.. will they preserve?

thanks before.

1. If you upgraded to KDE 4.3.2 in Jaunty, the settings will be kept during the upgrade.

2. Everything should work after you boot into Karmic.

3. Some third party sources disabled during the upgrade will still be usable. Others won't be found and will have to be removed until Karmic repositories appear.
