I have noticed that on some distros the bootup sequence is colored or framed by a picture. Or maybe there will be a progression bar of the bootup sequence. Anyway I think Knoppix and some of its derivatives do this and was wondering if there was anyway to make it happen in Ubuntu. You know, spice up the black and white boot sequence :D

That would be bootsplash or usplash. Hoary might include usplash. If not, it should definitely be in Grumpy.
