Hi everyone I've downloaded the new Karmic Koala & I was wondering how to safely remove Jaunty, I have 2 drives: root & home

So what do I do so that everything goes well. Do I format both drives from the live CD of Karmic & proceed the installation?

P.S I also have a third drive for Windows

boot in with the kramic live CD
do not format the windows partition(ofcourse)
it is recommedded to do a clean install of Kramic as it has many new features. install 9.10 on the existing root(/) partiton by formatting it and if you want the /home data to be used you may simply map the partition as /home without formating
recommeded to use ext3 as ext4 may give troubles.
