Which version should I download for my i686 based computer?

I am trying to install the server version. Should I download 32bit version of i386?

Yes your cpu is 32 bit. Be aware the server version has no gui. So its command line driven and if your new it might be difficult at first.

Download the 32 bit Live CD. It's that easy.

Post again if you need help with the setup - but before you do anything:

BACK UP YOUR FILES.
