I am installing Ubuntu 9.10 on my vostro 400 desktop. Installing Ubuntu has worked before on this computer, but something is amis, and I don't understand.
When I insert the CD into my computer, it comes up and asks me if I want to install or run Ubuntu without changing my computer. After I choose any of these options, it goes to a screen with a blinking underscore, or cursor, whatever you call it, and it just hangs.
Any ideas of getting around this? My BIOS should be up to date.
I also tried another copy of the 64-bit edition, and a 32-bit copy. None of which work.
