9.10 and skype

Just installed 9.10 and skype would not work. tried to reinstall it but installation fails. Anyone else experiencing this? Help!

After adding the medibuntu repo and searching synaptic I saw skype was the new beta 2.1 version. I installed it with no problem and tested cam with a friend with no issues. I haven't had a chance to test voice yet but given the crackling from pulseaudio is back again with this release I will probably have to troubleshoot that later.

Sadly, being 2.1 beta probably means the search for new people to chat to feature doesn't work properly.
