I just did a clean install of Karmic, which went very well. When I try to get nvidia drivers through System>Administration>Hardware Drivers nothing appears in the list, and I am told 'No proprietary drivers are in use on this system'. I tried installing the version 185 drivers through the software centre, but that didn't change anything. Any ideas?
btw, I've got an nvidia 8400M G which happily used the version 185 drivers in both jaunty and karmic RC
