Hello, I just recently installed Ubuntu 9.10. My first bad encounter was when I first started up after the install when Ubuntu told me that my hard disk has many bad sectors. Other than that there are no signs of a bad disk.
Later, after installing all of my programs and themes that I wanted, I suffered from a kernel panic. When I restarted Ubuntu told me that my kernel may be unstable. Could the two things be related? Should I go back to 2.6.28? (I know that that kernel worked when I used 9.04)
Thanks

For your Disk Problem go into Software Center and remove Disk Utility.I have to do that with a SATA Drive.

the kernel I think is a bug I have the same problem.Had it from Beta.it has been reported.
