Howdy folks
I'm currently using my old computer while I wait for a new CPU for my good computer.
Now, my old computers hard-drive decided to die on me, so I bought a new Western Digital 1TB drive and hooked it up, and tried to boot up. I get a compaq screen and it won't let me access the boot menu or anything at all.
The install disc is in for Ubuntu, and it just locks up at this point. I think one issue may be that it's not locking up, but simply the fact that my keyboard is wireless, but I doubt that since it worked before.
For all intents and purposes, the Compaq is Model SR5050NX the mobo is model P5LP-LE.
Also, the boot screen looks screwy, there are numerous red dashes across the screen, and whole horizontal lines of pixles are missing.
Please help me out here, this is my only hope.
