i'm still very new to ubuntu, your patience is appreciated :) i just installed karmic and whenever i turn the computer on.. it shows a white blinking logo of ubuntu..which is rather nice.. then it shows an endless list of error saying something like:
stdin=error=0
stdin=error=0
stdin=error=0
stdin=error=0
Initiating Shadow Passwords
bla bla bla

and it goes on and on.. i'm not sure what that is..it takes me about 2 minutes to finally log in.. and when i do.. the sound is very buggy. Before clicking on any file, the computer makes this buggy sound.. like a click almost

I had none of these problems with 9.04.. i'm not sure what's going on!
thanks a lot!!
