http://noncdn.releases.ubuntu.com/9.10/

It is out on that website. I've been using the Alpha6 to Beta so I've been using it for a while its a great release. There are still some issues with my hibernation and grub but If I upgrade to final maybe it will have been addressed, anyway I really like 9.10 I think it's grand.

On the other hand I finally finished backing up Ubuntu and Vista partiton as of yesterday and I have been using Win 7 and I must say I cant see all the hype over it. It's mainly meh. A faster Vista with more glossy effect and gradient effect and a dumbed down UI for mainstream. Also, I got some adware/spyware the minute I connected to the net. Tho, Aero peek is kinda cool. Though, I will give it more time before I settle on my judgement. Main thing is its faster and looks cooler. Although, how long will that last?

Maybe they can use it in the series to promote ubuntu ;)

You lucky SOB. My 9.10 download is at 88kb/s behind my colleges internet.

It's because everybody uses wireless, so they don't bother throttling the wired connection. Unfortunately, in room suites (four individual rooms with a common living space) wireless is often useless in the rooms themselves. I believe this is because both the main entry door and the individual room doors are metal. It's a very effective Faraday Cage.

So I just use the wired connection, which works a treat.

So far I've got a ratio of around 24 on Transmission, and I've had it open for about two hours.

Funny they use a family guy episode to promote the video player, since family guy was used for windows 7 to advertise :)

It's less funny that that particularly piece of functionality doesn't work. Maybe a clean install will get it going? I get a GStreamer error.

EDIT: I've just added Kubuntu and Xubuntu variants, in both 32- and 64-bit flavors. Looks like Xubuntu 64-bit isn't very popular, as it's the slowest and has the fewest peers (this doesn't really surprise me much).
