......on the east side of the US and just for kicks I went to see if 9.10 was up for download...it's not. Anyone know what time I should expect it?

It is just now getting to be the 29th here in North America. That means they can still release it any time in the next 23 hours or so.

It'll most likely be the 30th here before it's released. Just be patient, it'll be announced sooner or later.

Sorry, that came out a bit harsher than I meant to. There's been a few other posts about this and it was aimed at everyone in general rather than you in particular too. :)

From experience it always takes a while for the release to be announced though.

i might have guessed a bit earlier than that (like.. 9-10am in the UK, for example). but who knows? :o in any case, we'll see the announcement online soon enough.

checking...not yet. i've always gotten new Ubuntu releases via bittorrent since i find FTP from the mirrors to be on the slow side if i can connect at all. waiting for the tracker...
as of now Mininova has 22990 downloads going for the most popular torrent of W7. lets see if we can beat that. everybody, get Ubuntu 9.10 through Bittorrent, more downloads means a faster torrent

North and South America are at the back end of international date line. It's almost the 30th in New Zealand when it's the 29th in the US.

Usually, it's released in the morning of the release day, London time.

One more waiting here.
I'm at GMT, 5.42 now.
I'll be checking too, but just in case I miss it, if some of you find it's available somewhere to download, please send a sign.

I just hope they fixed the nvidia-settings bug. It won't save the settings to xorg. This was reported by many people and there is no excuse to release it with a bug that noticeable.

The elders of the internet invite you for lunch.

Otherwise if it's released around 12:00 London time it will be around 16:00 here in Thailand.

I've been telling myself to just go to sleep and check in the morning, but I find myself picking up my netbook every hour or so to see if it's up yet. It's like waiting for Christmas morning twice a year.

Why would they make a release outside office hours? It makes sense for them to release after 9am GMT when their office is fully staffed.
