Emerald and kde

Will someone tell me ho to get Emerald window decorator to start up with kde

You need compiz to run emerald.

I use fusion-icon (apt:fusion-icon) for easily switching between window managers and window decorators.

Get compiz running and then enable emerald. I had problems with it because my graphics card is not that good. Old Laptop

if i remember correctly, is'nt emerald just for window decorations ?
because if thats all u want to change in 'KDE.. the 'Dekorator'
window may be an answer..d/load a nice Dekorator theme, extract, then in Dekorators config, in Paths .. point it to the buttons / frame (deco)
and masks (if it uses masks) folders and see if thats a bit of fun.
if emerald does domething more than this please ignore this post !!
