1 day left!

Does the counter change to hours and minutes after a while, or what?

It hasn't before. Every release I remember (Since 7.10) has said "Coming Soon" in the last few hours. I'm guessing it will be the same as usual this year.

Edit: It currently says "coming soon": http://www.ubuntu.com/

hehe I don't think so I think it just releases! To be honest even though I'm excited, it doesn't make too much difference for my KDE desktop. But I'm excited about what Karmic and Lucid could mean for Ubuntu as a whole :)

I'm one of those folks who likes instant gratification.

I hate waiting, but as I get older, I realize that life is about waiting. Married with girls means my whole existence is tied around waiting for them for one reason or another.

No, based on how impatient you are, the timer will be extended. In your case it will be 2 weeks.

If you're running the RC and you upgrade now, is it identical to the final release?

yes, as the CD is only a snapshot of the repositories.

Yes, minus the few modificatins that will be made between now and the final release. Upgrade again when final is out, and you'll get them.

Well, I was just showing my enthusiasm and meant for this thread to be a positive and happy one while waiting. But I guess it all came out in a wrong way in the OP, sorry.

So am I! 3 girls in the house, one bathroom. I feel your pain!

I really love you, seriously.

Big +1.
