I am playing with Kubuntu, what do I have to do to install Synaptic?

Once I do, where will it show up at in the menus?

Do I have to uninstall anything at the same time? If so, how?

BTW, I am using Karmic 64bit.

Thank you any and all for your help?

On an terminal, run

sudo aptitude install synaptic

This will install it. After it finishes you can find it in K Menu>Applications>System>Synaptic Package Manager.

Nothing needs to be uninstalled.
