Window maker loads gnome desktop

I run the gnome network applet in docker when my window maker loads, but today it started loading the gnome desktop behind the dockapps. this is really annoying because I can't use the right click menu like normal.
Are there any windowmaker gurus on here who can explain why this started happening?
