I'm trying to install Xubuntu 9.04 i386 on a Toshiba Satellite 4030CDT laptop, but it just stops all the time with the following on the screen (text mode)
¤¤¤¤¤ Screen dump start ¤¤¤¤¤
* Preparing restricted drivers... [ OK ]
* Starting kernel event manager... [ OK ]
* Loading hardware drivers...
udevd-event[2350]: 'path_id /devices/platform/pcspkr/input/input2/event2' abnormal exit
udevd-event[1933]: '/sbin/modprobe -b pci:v0000125Dd00001978sv00001179sd00000001bc04sc01 i00' abnormal exit
[ OK ]
_
¤¤¤¤¤ Screen dump end ¤¤¤¤¤
I've had Xubuntu installed on the PC before, but with another release and that worked perfectly fine (was some years ago though).
Anyone got a clue on what to try to look for?
Thanks!
