Hi
Firstly, a newbie here... so be gentle :)
I have been using Ubuntu 9.04 for a about a month and started to have
some strange issues about a week ago. I guess there was a recommended
package install and then it went downhill from there...
Problem:
======
-- Keyboard and mouse function at boot up, and able to enter my userid and passwd.
-- Then my Window Manager gets very very clumsy/slow, and my keyboard doesn't
work in any terminal, browser etc.
-- I loggen in recovery mode, and ran Xfix (?), and then a "resume" normal bott
-- Now keyboard and mouse work but my resolution is all screwed up.
-- I tried to reinstall/enable the Nvidia drivers and did a reboot as suggested in
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/nvidia
-- Then the problem repeats. I have also tried repair packages, etc and all look okay.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
EDIT: When I minimize any app, it doesn't show up in the bottom 'dock bar", but when I do alt-tab, I can access it.
