been playing around with ajunta, geany, komodo edit and eclipse. but cant figure wich one is the best code editor (yes i know geany and ajunta are IDE's) for any lang?
after trawling through the boards it seems the above are the most used (bar emacs and vi but i didnt want to start a holy war).
so what editor do the geeks/nerds/<insert self-deprecating name> use.

aww damn missed that one. in my defance i started looking at about 2:00am (aus time) and its now 11:30am

You won't get a definite answer, it all comes down to personal preference and what suits you. Most editors are pretty good for a wide range of languages.

Anyways, Vim for the win!

Geany, Kate and Gedit are also pretty decent.
