View Full Version : Does Gateway honor the Windows Refund?

I don't like calling companies, as it usually gets me no where, so I submitted a pho-indecent with their question/answer system. But it's been a couple days, and hasn't received a reply. Maybe I'm better off asking here: Does gateway honor the windows refund?

(I know Dell does not according to a forum on Dell.)

Well gateway is owned by Acer isn't it?
Reading a couple posts about Acer Windows refunds I believe that anybody getting a refund form acer has to actually pay about 80% of the refund value to get the machine checked making it pointless (the $5-$10 you save is pretty much spent on the phone).

Well, I finally got back a reply from Gateway:

Well, I finally got back a reply from Gateway:

Then MS will tell you to contact the manufacturer (Gateway)... it's ridiculous.
