As I'm having a few issues with 8.04 not supporting some stuff that exists in 9.xx, I'm planning on upgrading. Is it better to do an upgrade from 8.04 to 9.10, or a fresh install?
I've got a pretty well established setup with both the generic and rt kernels bootable from grub, and would like to keep this option. Would a fresh install be a pain to keep all this? I've also got Windows XP and Suse installs bootable from grub which I'd like to keep.
If I do a fresh install, what's the best way of re-installing all the packages I've built up over the past months?
I've got /home on a separate partition, can I just leave it as it is?
Also am I right in think the full release of 9.10 is out in a few days?
Sorry for lots of questions!
