Anyone know how to download and install in an easy way, the Go open office to my jaunty-distro?

Have tried in terminal-mode :sudo apt-get install openoffice.org, but that only upgraded from 3.0 to 3.1 version.

When I visit the site for Go open office, i get download alternatives i dont know about.

Can anyone help me?

Wewt! A fellow lover of Go-Open Office!

The Open Office with less bureaucraticosity among its development team! A team that doesn't use phrases like "due to a roadblock internal to our organization that has occurred"!

If you have an Intel chip,to get go-open-office, just install the .rpm package at this link: Go-Open-Office-Installer (http://go-oo.mirrorbrain.org/stable/linux-i586/GoOo-release-0.0.3-0.noarch.rpm)

Do you know how to install .rpm packages?

I don't think you can install .rpm files on Ubuntu without using alien. To install it type “sudo apt-get install alien” into a terminal.

Note that the Ubuntu version of OOo (like all the other GNU/Linux distros) is already based on the go-oo version.
