I mean just like bloodshed dev-c++ and borland on windows,

eclipse is very powerful, lots of features, lots of plug-ins and third-party offerings

I'd also recommend CodeBlocks. It is simpler than Eclipse and the others (though not as powerful). It'd also be worth your time to learn vim or emacs eventually :).

CodeLite is a lightweight version of CodeBlocks, and I've found it to work very well.
