hi i have a serious problem.
I am using hardy and a gnome desktop.
After a forced shutdown i cant log into my desktop. There are no warnings or errors while booting. After entering my loging and password i just see a blank screen and my mouse cursor(same after startx in recovery mode)....
I think this problem can be solved if i get my desktop settings back to the default ones. But i have no idea how to do that efficient and save.
I already tried apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg gnome but that didnt help.
help is highly appreciated!
