hi guys

this might be an incredibly noob-ish question but, when running firefox on my laptop, it automatically resizes webpages so i dont have to sideways scroll. in ubuntu this doesnt seem to be happening. ive searched all the options and preferences and cannot find anything to change it to how i prefer it (as it is with the laptop).

any help guys because i dont like the way it is! haha

cheers

james

Could you post an example link?

It does resize here, but this feature depends a lot on the site code. Some sites simply do not allow resizing. They use fixed width style sheets.

Even when a web page allows resizing, there is a minimum limit, when the scroll bars take over.

ive found a solution of sorts, i was running at the wrong resolution, to the point where i couldnt apply any others (unless i used the tab key to guestimate where 'apply' was).

but now ive run into a far more worrying problem. please see later thread called 'driver install means no picture after login'.

cheers for the initial help!:guitar:
