hey,
i downloaded the files alsa-driver-1.0.19 tar.bz2 and esimaya44patch-alsa-driver-1.0.19.diff.tar.gz and afterwards i tried out to install it via TERMINAL under my ubuntu but it doesn't work. i'm completely new in the linux world and i'm sorry for perhaps stupid questions but i don't know the way to install the tar-files. i tried out the pathway, Patryk Krawczyk wrote on july 23th 2008 (with changed version 1.0.19) but it doesn't work after restart. now my question: what do i wrong? can someone help me with the installation? i really would like to use my ESI maya 44 E118 soundcard under ubuntu.
