I keep forgetting to take screenshots. I was annoyed to hear that a new case fan (same model I put in another case) is making a droning noise when I expected near silence, but I am; however, pleased that my GPU's temperature has drastically dropped. It was in the mid 90's (celsius) and now down to the high 70's, processing the same DC work unit. That was a lot of heat just sitting there.
The fan is rated at 21dBA at a fan speed of 2050 RPM. My BIOS reports that it's running at around 1750. I doubt it, but hopefully it may quiet down. I may try giving it power directly from the PSU instead of the motherboard. I believe the fan on the other case is also being monitored for its RPM, so I'll have to take a look.
