I solved this by selecting local delivery. I have now moved to Evolution permanently.

For /var/mail/user which server type in Evolution do I choose? There is a very wide variety from hulu to mbox. In particular I think I probably need to choose one of the mbox options. However there is two options for mbox and they confuse me. I use Thunderbird right now and it access the mbox file but I would like to try Evolution.
Whats the difference? One better than the other.
