Hi

When installing the x64 version of Kubuntu 9.04, the installation tool does not find one of my 3 SATA disks, the one I wish to install the system on.

I've checked with my Windows 7 installation media, which is perfectly capable of finding the 3rd disk, and BIOS shows it as well. I've also checked with "Install inside Windows", which also are able to find the disk, so the disk isn't corrupt either. I've physically unplugged the disks except the 3rd, to ensure it wasn't the ordering or display of partitions, but the lists of disk was completely empty when the others were unplugged.

The disk is a Western Digital Caviar SE 2500AAJS, 250GB, SATAII.

Is there any possible workarounds for this, other than submit a bug report?

I found this post , http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=153384 , which describes a similar issue.

But the post is over 3 years old, and shouldn't be valid today!
