Japan really loves Windows 7. First a picture of a smiling Linus Torvalds in front of a shop chock-full of "7-stuff," and now this (http://www.pcworld.com/article/174176/windows_7_a_whopper_of_an_os_with_a_side_of_fries. html).

Without Japan, I would have significantly less laughter in my life.

Saw this earlier today as well; you have to love Japan for the sheer wackiness of stuff like this :D

I want to eat that.

Just looked at the price, 777 yen! Thats about 8.50 USD. Not a bad deal.

I'd buy W7 if it meant getting that burger.

That looks delicious. Someone at Canonical should see if they can get McDonald's to do something similar for Karmic. A Big Mac with 9 patties would have...10 buns. Wow.

Pretty funny, since he is in Japan for a Linux conference. Shows he's got a sense of humor.

I just worry that people might get the wrong idea, that the patties really contain Koala meat. Hey, it's McDonald's--I wouldn't put anything past them.

(Disclaimer: this is said with nothing but affection for the fine, tasty products offered by McDonald's "restaurants" around the world.)

Think they have a vegetarian version?

Haha, I'm sure an Ubuntu-burger would be vegetarian, considering they have environmentally friendly merchandise and encourage people not to waste resources in the use of their OS.

Did anyone besides me notice the copyright date on that story? I don't think Win 7 came out in 2007 :D

Maybe they're revealing more than they bargained for. Like perhaps that Microsoft had been planning since launch on poor user acceptance of Vista in order to bolster Windows 7 sales, and that they had set up this deal with BK back then.

Or that BK serves two-year-old meat. I dunno. Probably a typo, with all those "7s" flying around.

Or the blog software used for the site has a boilerplate that isn't being updated.
