wondering if there is a category or thread where the latest blow by blow and up-to-the-minute gory details of when 9.10 and subsequent versions are going to be released?

do i just keep banging away on F5 in the releases (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/) directory?

read this before you try to download: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1297372

or for the short version, if you try to download and install before it's "officially" released, you could end up using an incomplete or broken release.

wait until this page (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-announce/2009-October/date.html) is updated, and then download.

No offense intended, but this release is absolutely unusable.

The first 2 things I tried, Setting the time, and Connecting to a network either failed. This after staring at a "white" ubuntu logo for god knows how long.

Use torrent.

I am seeding at 1-2MB/s into a 8-12MB/s swarm
Hop in, I can go to 8-10MB/s by myself so plenty of room left for you, more seeders than leachers right now.

I will keep seeding for another few hours so this is a limited time offer.
