PS3 and ubuntu

ok i can NOT get this working. i cant seem to get either 9.04 or 9.10 working. if i try 9.10 it does not load cd drivers. if i try 9.04 it will not read from the cd even though the data on the cd is fine. any ideas or suggestions?
