Hello everybody. I have just used Ubuntu since yesterday.
I installed the Ubuntu version 8.10, everything went normally.
When I installed samba from terminal with the command "sudo apt-get install samba", it finished completedly.
But i do not see any icon of samba in menu system-->administration
I tried to run the command "sudo /etc/init.d/samba start", it says OK but no Samba appears.
At the very beginning of using Ubuntu, I installed it inside windows, and Samba run normally. after that I deleted Windows and installed Ubuntu independently, now something goes wrong. Please help.
