Will you upgrade to Win7?

With the launch of win7 Oct 23, I've been thinking. I really have no compelling reason to upgrade from my WinXP pro installation to Win7. For server things I use Ubuntu. For my wife, WinXP does everything she needs to do. I suppose I might be forced to upgrade if older versions of word are no longer supported, however I really don't see that happening. Other than fancier bling and such, is there really any compelling reasons for any home user to upgrade?

I don't know if Microsoft would allow an upgrade from Karmic to 7. I don't even know if I should call that an "upgrade".

I've only got Linux on my desktop. I'm going to be buying another hard drive and setting up a dual boot with Win 7 very soon.

I recently bought a new laptop, which came with a "free" upgrade to W7, so I'll be getting that in the mail sometime after the release.

But at this point, I only boot into Windows when I need to do design or photo editing work in Adobe Creative Suite (never could get it to work in WINE).

I'm quite content with ol' XP on here, I mean I barely use it it's just for a few Windows-exclusive programs and maybe theoretically games if I feel like playing any PC ones that don't run on Linux anyway.

7 would cost money and actually give me a DROP in performance for the things I want to use it for o.O

No, haven't used Windows for ages. Windows 7 is just more of the same, no improvements whatsoever which are actually worthwhile.
