Just a quick question... don't really have many specifics but I'm curious.
I have kubuntu jaunty and I ran a procedure for updating from KDE 4.2 to 4.3. I rebooted and upon logging in I received a fatal error. Looks like I killed it when I updated (it was a possibility according the person with the instructions on updating)
I left it for the night then came back the next day, started up the computer, pressed escape at grub, and loaded recovery mode... I chose the option for repair damaged packages, it ran and did it's thing, i rebooted and successfully entered the OS and KDE 4.3 is installed and working fine.
Is this a known solution? or did I just stumble upon it in my naive clicking?
