ubuntu Installation

to install ubuntu on a laptop which image should be downloaded. I got at image (ubuntu 8.04) burned on a DVD of size 3.70 GB. I got this image from a LAN where i work in. Whereas, What I have downloaded from ubuntu website is a 699 MB image file. I am confused which should be installed. please help.

What is the difference between the 3.7 GB ubuntu OS and a 699 MB ubuntu OS?:confused:

The company you work for probably made their own custom image. This is beneficial if there are applications that your employer wants you to use.
