My grandma recently gave me 1000 dollars, and I'm wondering what to spend on it. I decided I'm looking for a netbook (so I can bring to school and stuff). Preferably Linux compatible, in a price range of 0-800 US Dollars.

Suggestions?

I forgot something that I'd like to mention, I would prefer it if the netbook had 3G compatibility.

Some acer aspire models come with a built in 3g slot in the battery area. I like the acer, it worked from the get go and was cheap.

I'm gonna refer you to my bud (GSF1200S) on this forum...he recently bought an Asus Eee PC 1005HA and is very pleased with it! Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-1005HA-PU1X-BK-10-1-Inch-Black-Netbook/dp/B002DYIXMI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256101986&sr=8-1 He also got a 2GB memory upgrade and has installed Linux on it (not sure which distro exactly...). (I just posted something very similar to this--haha funny). You should PM him with questions you might have. Let us know what you decide!

I'm going to go with the Terra A20 from ZaReason, after I wait 8 days for the latest Ubuntu release (I want the better intel graphics with it).

Thank you all!

Good choice! Hope your experience with the people there was as good as mine.
