View Full Version : [ubuntu] Screen resolution on big screen TV

I am tryin to set the screen resolution of Ubuntu to 1920x1280 on a bigscreen HD TV. Under the display preferences, the highest resolution available is 1400x1050. Can anyone help me?

This is probably a stupid question. Are you using the proprietary drivers for your vid card?

Thanks for the replies, even though it was a stupid question.

It turns out that all I had to do was activate a proprietary driver under the Hardware Driver preferences.
