Help me!

I've just been trying to install Steam through wine.. But it won't work!!

I've installed wine correctly, and I've got the version 1.1.31. My Ubuntu version is 9.04 and I'm using gnome as my desktop manager.

I installed Steam, using this guide

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMagazine/HowTo/InstallingSteam

And when I try starting Steam through the desktop icon, a bax appears in the panel saying "Starting steam".. then it dissapears, and nothing more happens..

Starting it through terminal gives me this

CellID: Fetching server list from CSDS. . .
fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters (00000100, 00000000): partial stub.
fixme:urlmon:CoInternetSetFeatureEnabled 5, 0x00000002, 1, stub

CellID: Nothing beat our old best time of 24 MS
Deleting active MRSW lock (0x131ec4), expect failure

And that's it.. Nothing more happens... No window, no nothing...

I don't get it! Help!
