Hello all together,

I have a little problem changing my desktop resolution to WXGA 1400x900 (work perfectly on pre-installed Windows  Vista...
As to the title my graphics card is an:
nVidia Geforce 9100m
Anotheer problem is that the special driver by nvidia doesn't work correctly (the nvidia control window shows the message that I should made the driver used by simply running 'nvidia-xconfig' as root, but this command doesn't exist....
So I'm very new in such these things, i don't know which commands to run or which files to change (maybe xorg.conf in /etc/X11 but what to add??) and my ubuntu 9.04 - Laptop has no internet connection so it is not that easy to find the best drivers (I have to run ubuntu on my internet computer and then download the files copy them to my USB-stick and run them on my Laptop).....
Thank you for useful help
