I believe my difficulties getting vpn working on a fresh installation of 9.04 are installation related. This worked in the prior version and after the 9.04 upgrade.
It stopped working after my computer was repaired under warranty and I had to start from scratch. I had no image to put back, unfortunately.
The VPN connection dies immediately before even trying to launch a vpn connection. I've already posted a question about it in Networking.
