Xubuntu (9.10 karmic) has it. I'm pretty sure kubuntu has it too, though only since karmic.

thanks . But in your link, only Ubuntu -xsplash-artwork could be found . No kUbuntu-xsplash-artwork

In Xubuntu xsplash depends on ubuntu-xsplash-artwork so that might mean the artwork for xubuntu's xsplash is in that package. Or the stuff I'm seeing here during boot isn't xslpash :roll: Maybe you can find more info in the karmic testing sub forum (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=359).
