Does Unetbootin need to have another partition available for it to work? I have an old Pentium II that I would like to install a base Ubuntu (command line) but I can't get the bios to recognize the CD drive, so I can't boot from it. I wanted to use Unetbootin to install from Windows but I don't have multiple partitions.

Thanks,

If you get the windows version it runs just fine on a normal windows os. The only annoying thing is you have to let the program re-boot your windows machine or it seems the usb does not close out properly then it will not be recognized by the computer your doing the installation on. I wait for the system to cycle down then remove the usb when the light goes off and let windows reboot normally.

If anyone finds an easier way that works I would like to here about it also.

But won't Unetbootin overwrite Windows?
