Hi all,

I want to do an install but i can't even get past this screen..

I get this:

Sil 3114 SataRAID Bios Version 5.039
Press<Ctrl+S> of F4 to enter RAID utility
0 Hitachi HDT721010SLA
*FREEZES HERE*

the motherboard is EP-8KHA+

The only HDD is that one...

How can i fix this?

Thanks..

Have you got some sort of Raid enabled in your Bios - if so can you disable it?

Yep, My first guess would be a BIOS conflict.

Hi,

I can't see any setting in the bios for RAID?

Where would it be?

Difficult to tell without having a similar machine - most Bios's will have settings for peripherals - might be in there - its a case of looking. Often it will be where the type of hard disk you have is defined.

Hi I checked the motherboard bios...

Nothing anywhere in the bios that mentions any RAID..

Any other ideas?

The only other thing I can think of is that the CD that you are using is bad and perhaps you should burn another. As slow as you can burn it.
