Running 64-bit linux on AMD Phenom

Started upgrade install from 9.04

update-manager -d

Started the upgrade install about 30 minutes ago and it has not moved since completion of all 1350 packages.

Will it sit there for hours, really?
Only 1.7 GB free on my partition?
Should I enhance the current partition to enable more free space (18 GB)
What pro-active steps can I take?

Also, 9.10 beta looks like a good solid release.

Hmm... I'd advise you download Jaunty (or you may as well wait till Karmic is here) and upgrade via that.

Thanks for the reply, not a bad idea at all too!

I ended up doing a complete system restart and cancel'd the "beta upgrade"
Re-launched and I'm good to go! The stable release will be much more exciting.

Figure'd I may able to jump in and report some bugs until the official release.

Will add this current issue to the list of feedbacks...

Great! Hope Karmic stable installs right for you :).
