Internet through LAN switch

I have a network as shown in the picture. My problem is that the machines running ubuntu won't connect to the internet through the switch. The Windows machine does, and I still can't get the ubuntu ones to.

I have a network as shown in the picture. My problem is that the machines running ubuntu won't connect to the internet through the switch. The Windows machine does, and I still can't get the ubuntu ones to.

What's the IP of the switch (if it's managed)
What's the internal IP of the router? The netmask? (If you don't know, on the Windows machine, post the output of ipconfig /a)

On each ubuntu machine please post the output of the following

Those are Microsoft Self-Assigned addresses.

Do you have DHCP set up on the route?
Try assigning a static IP in the correct range to one of the Ubutnu machines.

DGortze is correct,
169.254.x.x is a self assigned address. This means most likely that you router is not, or is unable to deal out IP address through DHCP. I would check your Windows computer to see what the IP address is, it could be that you manually assigned your windows IP address instead of using DHCP. You might just have to manually assign it to the Ubuntu machines.

Where did you get that info, because your Ubuntu Machines are not registering those addresses.

On the Router setup (http://192.16.8.2.1) under "DHCP Client list" the machines are listed with those ips

Got it working after manually specifying ips on the ubuntu machines
