Everytime I try to hibernate or suspend it gets to the black screen with the flashing cursor and just stops there, than I have to turn off my computer through the power button which gets really annoying. I did make a 5.5GB swap portion (I have 4GB RAM, so it should work) and I'm updated. I have NVIDIA drivers (v180), if anyone out there knows how to at least get suspend working.. PLEASE HELP!

---I installed Ubuntu through DOS mode and not in Windows.
